This position contributes to Frankenmuth Brewery's success by setting the tone for every guest that walks through our doors and creating a positive feeling that will carry with them through their entire experience.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUITES
Host/Hostess' will greet and seat guests in a warm, friendly and sincere manner, establishing a great first impression, and ensuring that our guests leave happy. Manage seating charts and systems as well as relay pertinent information regarding guest requests to servers and management. A focus on a superior guest experience is critical to the success of this position.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Host Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

- Possess strong communication skills
- Must have an enthusiastic and friendly personality and be able to engage with guests of all types.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Able to work well with others
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Must have exceptional grooming habits
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide an enthusiastic and friendly greeting to all guests, with a smile!
- Help guide guests to their desired seating preference
- When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant
- Knows the full menu and is capable of describing the preparation method, flavor profile, and ingredients of any item on the menu to a guest
- Interact with guests in a way to promote a friendly environment and an exceptional guest experience between patrons
- Obtain a Basic level of the Beer Diplomat Training Program
- Report to Host Supervisor methodically with seating availability
- Hold knowledge of the floor plan, service stations and table numbers
- Inspect menus for cleanliness and change out when necessary
- Answer phones with knowledge of the operation of the restaurant and/or direct the guests for further assistance
- Able to make reservations accurately and courteously
- Acknowledge and thank exiting guests, ask them to return, ask about their dining experience and follow through with the manager with any guest issues
- Maintain knowledge of all safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that enables getting along with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Manager and/or Customer Service Supervisors
