The Investment Group of Midas is seeking an analyst. At the analyst level you will specifically plan an integral role in developing tools to assist the team with client and financial reporting, marketing materials, client relationship management, underwriting new investment opportunities, monitoring portfolio companies and industry/strategy research. This position will be located in Midas' St. Louis office and will report to the Vice President of Investments.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Responding to an array of client inquires on their investment holdings
• Enhanced analytics on existing and prospect investment opportunities
• Supporting due diligence on new investment opportunities
• Developing and maintaining industry overviews and valuation metrics
• Assisting in the preparation of fund and holding companies' financials
• Assisting in the drafting of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting documents for clients
• Maintaining a detailed pipeline of prospects and potential deals
• Maintaining and creating marketing materials
• Producing customized presentations ad hoc
• Assisting with and completing client reporting for commingled funds, customized accounts, and specialty funds

The analyst will be trained across financial and client reporting disciplines as well as the fundamentals of various investment strategies and data analysis to diversify their skill set and optimize efficiency across the team. This process also provides on-the-job training to help keep the team focused and motivated. The analyst will also specialize in key areas to create an atmosphere of accountability, promote responsibility, and generate clear career path direction.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 2 - 3 years of experience in investment or other finance related field (accounting, audit, consulting, etc.) is required
• A Bachelor's degree is required, a Master's degree is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrate strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities
• Proven mastery of basic functions of task related software (Microsoft Word/PowerPoint, Adobe)
• Demonstrated understanding of and ability to calculate and interpret various private investment quantitative metrics (return calculations, leverage/risk calculations, performance metrics, liquidity)
• Basic knowledge of investment strategies, including private real estate strategies, fund structures, and Midas' products and business lines
• Ability to creatively source and use various information required to meet responsibilities
• Meticulous attention to detail output is consistently accurate, thorough, and completed within prescribed deadlines, meetings necessary requirements
• Ability to identify areas of risk and inefficiency in processes and raises them with management
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work closely and interact with senior management
• Accountability for their work and receptive to constructive feedback
• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage their own time
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
• Willingness to assist colleagues, be a collaborative team player and approach all tasks with a positive attitude
• Ability to build relationships around the firm
• Some travel required
