Heavy Equipment Operator at Atlas

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demolition work. Candidates must have proficiency in operating 200 and 300 series excavators, track loaders, and skid steers This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven track record of safe, efficient operation of heavy equipment
• Ability to work diligently and complete tasks on time
• Minimum 3 years of experience in demolition (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Must pass a drug test and background check
• Dependability and reliability are essential

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers to perform tasks related to demolition and excavation.
• Collaborate with team members and complete projects according to specifications.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members regarding project progress and equipment needs.

Preferred Certifications:

• OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or HAZWOPER certifications are a plus.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
• Location: Shop located in Cartersville, GA- Work sites located in Metro Atlanta
• Occasional travel to worksites in surrounding states -not mandatory
