Voloridge Health is seeking a Director of Engineering who embodies a blend of leadership prowess, technical excellence, and health domain expertise. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the charge in building and scaling our engineering team, spearheading initiatives that align with our mission to revolutionize healthcare. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including researchers, product managers, and data analysts, to develop groundbreaking health technology products.
Voloridge Health is an innovative data science-led company building a state-of-the-art health and wellness club designed to provide clients with comprehensive health and wellness services, integrating the in-person and digital application experience. Our offerings include cutting-edge health diagnostics and a mobile application that tracks client progress, supports goal setting, and monitors their journey toward better health led by health practitioners.
Summary of Job Functions
- Provide strategic engineering leadership by aligning engineering initiatives with VoloHealth’s goals, driving innovation that propels the company forward
- Work alongside the CTO to develop and execute a technology roadmap that supports scalability, security, and performance
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture that encourages growth and innovation
- Ensure best practices in software development, architecture, and quality assurance.
- Build expertise in EHRs, telemedicine platforms, health data analytics, and AI applications to help drive product development
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to keep VoloHealth at the forefront of health tech innovation
- Ensure all engineering practices comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA guidelines
- Implement processes that prioritize data security and patient privacy.
- Work closely with researchers, product managers, and data analysts to deliver cutting-edge health technology products
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in software engineering with a strong foundation in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance systems
- Proven leadership experience in recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top engineering talent
- Demonstrated ability to align engineering initiatives with company goals and drive innovation
- Prior experience ensuring engineering practices comply with necessary standards
- Advanced degree —Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
- Passionate about improving health through technology and aligning personal values with VoloHealth’s mission
- Thrives in an evolving environment and is comfortable navigating the challenges of scaling a growing company.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills and Previous Experience
- Proven experience in the health technology sector is a significant plus.
- Deep understanding of electronic health records (EHRs), telemedicine platforms, health data analytics, and AI applications in healthcare.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA guidelines.
