Role Summary
Reporting to the Senior Vice President Commercial, responsible for enablement and delivery of key growth financial targets and UK level business objectives. Leadership of Business Development structure, driving growth across multiple markets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to the Business Development team, ensuring alignment with UK & Divisional objectives and motivation to achieve key growth targets.
• Ensuring the team are focusing on key priority sectors which include Employability, Skills, Health, Contact Centre & Emerging Markets.
• Build and review a reliable, sustainable, and profitable business pipeline aligned with the overall long-term strategy and annual goals of Maximus.
• Developing and executing successful business propositions, leveraging Divisional & UK strategy and market insights to drive profitable growth.
• Refine and embed an efficient Business Development delivery and organisational structure to deliver high-quality, winning propositions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and joint initiatives across the Divisions to maximise opportunities and drive growth.
• Streamlining sales processes, methodologies, and tools/systems to optimise revenue growth and return on investment.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across all aspects of the business by leveraging data and analytics to make informed decisions.
• Support the shaping of the long-term business development strategy, aligning with market trends and opportunities to drive sustainable growth.
• Representing Maximus as a thought leader in the industry by actively participating in industry conferences, events, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Coach and develop direct reports to instil a high-performance sales culture and ensuring that best in class sales processes, methodologies and tools / systems are in place and optimised.
• Attract and retain talent - driving a positive employee experience, leadership development and succession planning.
• Lead on shaping market offerings / propositions to ensure these are competitive and compelling to target market segments, solve real client problems in a differentiated way, and deliver strong margins.

Qualifications and/or Experience
• Proven experience in a growth-focused role.
• Demonstrable Business Development experience in this (or similar) market.
• Demonstrated year on year ability to grow business sectors and reference impactful wins of > £100m Total Contract Value.
• Experience of team leadership and management oversight for multi-disciplinary teams
• Commercial and financial understanding to enable optimum balance of risk / reward / price to be embedded within qualified opportunities.
• Customer focused, with prior experience within a Customer Service and or Employment and Skills environment.
• Prior experience working within outsourced environments.
• Proven ability working with key stakeholders, building relationships across all levels including board and C-Suite level.
• Proven experience managing large teams across multiple projects.
• Strong track record of delivering change in complex and demanding environments.
