We are seeking a Head of Architecture to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural direction and strategy of our projects, providing leadership and guidance to the architectural team. The role demands a blend of technical, hands-on capability and leading a team of architects and designers. The ideal candidate should be a Registered Architect, with a strong background in Architecture Design, AutoCAD, and Revit. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the architectural department, ensuring high-quality design and project delivery.
2. Develop and implement design and construction standards, ensuring all projects adhere to these.
3. Oversee all architectural projects, from conception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and project priorities.
4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
5. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
6. Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and advancements, integrating these into our architectural strategy.
7. Develop and present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
8. Manage the preparation of architectural plans using CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and Revit.
9. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and other legal requirements.
10. Participate in business development activities, including client presentations, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field.
2. Registered Architect with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an architectural department.
4. Proficient in Architecture Design, AutoCAD, and Revit.
5. Strong knowledge of CAD and other design software.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
7. Strong understanding of building codes, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts to a range of audiences.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and overcome challenges.
10. A passion for architecture and design, with a continuous desire to stay ahead of industry trends and advancements.
