YOUR IMPACT AS A HEAD SOUS CHEF
As the Head Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the head chef in the efficient management of kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with the head chef to create menus that cater to customer preferences and dietary requirements. You will supervise and coordinate food preparation and presentation to guarantee consistency and adherence to our high-quality standards.
Additionally, you will contribute to the training and development of kitchen staff, ensuring that they follow proper food handling protocols and safety measures. Monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and upholding a clean and organized kitchen space will also be crucial aspects of your day-to-day tasks. Furthermore, your flexibility will be showcased as you assist in catering events and special functions when needed.
YOUR SCHEDULE
Your typical schedule will consist of 8-hour shifts Monday - Friday with evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong knowledge of food service management principles and practices
- Proficiency in food handling and preparation techniques
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to follow recipes for consistency in every dish
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
Experience working in a dietary department or catering setting is preferred but not required.
