Job Summary
Under general supervision, the HVAC Technician performs preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation control systems. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction through direct, onsite client interactions and requires a solid understanding of Building Control systems and the ability to adapt to new products and strategies. Detailed documentation of daily activities and recommendations is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Start up, commission, and re-commission customer systems utilizing Direct Digital Control (DDC) technology.Troubleshoot and provide solutions for system-related problems.work with HVAC systems, including boilers, Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, and chilled/hot water systems.Complete all required commissioning documentation accurately.Maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages and mark any changes.Submit timely and accurate paperwork, including timesheets, expense reports, work orders, onsite documentation, and project status reports.Conduct site-specific training for owners/operators on the complete system.Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site to ensure satisfaction and transparency.Track and document personal job progress, keeping the Project Manager informed of updates and any customer concerns.Provide feedback on areas of improvement or scope issues to the project manager.Maintain a daily log of job-related activities.Adhere strictly to safety standards, ensuring a high degree of employee and subcontractor safety.Maintain and troubleshoot laptops and mobile devices using strong computer and networking skills.Understand the operation and control of mechanical equipment and their control sequences.Handle multiple challenges simultaneously, requiring knowledge across various disciplines.Collaborate effectively with team members while prioritizing customer satisfaction.Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.OSHA 302+ years of experience in the HVAC controls industry.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Exceptional communication and customer service skills.Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of building control systems and sequences of operation.Clean and valid driver’s license.Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment exceeding 8 feet above ground level.Capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.What They Offer
