Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer serves as the primary technical resource to the Hunton Trane Industrial Team. Responsible for engineering the process heating, cooling, & utility systems within a prospective project. Responsible for developing comprehensive, value-driven mechanical process and HVAC system solutions at industrial facilities. Provides ongoing technical consultation to facilitate the sales/business development processes and working with the project management team to execute projects for the customer. This candidate should have a strong process or HVAC background with an emphasis on candidates with hydronic and refrigeration backgrounds.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of construction or engineering related work experience.
- PE license is not a requirement for this position.
- Mastery of refrigeration and hydronic fundamentals including system design.
- Mastery of AutoCAD or Revit
- Experience with ASME & API standards.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, work well with others, and have positive attitude.
- Clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle.
Core Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing complete engineering documentation for industrial cooling and heating projects.
- Being the main point for technical questions for vendors, project management, and field personnel.
- Support project managers and field teams with technical expertise.
- Develop innovative solutions that bring additional value to the customer.
- Stay abreast of current technologies and industry trends.
- Identify and utilize software modeling tools.
- Utilize cloud tools such as Microsoft Teams & SharePoint for collaboration.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Engineering:
- Develop documents for EPC and industrial projects, not limited to:
- GA drawings
- P&ID drawings
- PRV calculations
- Nozzle loads with forces and moments
- Anchorage details
- Weld procedures
- FAT procedures
- ITP procedures
- Develop documents for projects for the mechanical systems involving:
- Process Heating and Cooling Systems
- HVAC Systems
- Laboratory Critical Control
