**Summary:**
The Department of Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for a full time Human Resources Coordinator. The Human Resources Coordinator contributes to the growth and success of the Radiology department by executing the mission and vision. This position reports to the HR Business Partner of the Department of Radiology and is a key member of the Radiology HR (RADHR) team. The RADHR team consists of the HR Administrator, HR Business Partner, Faculty Affairs Specialist, and two HR Coordinators.
Under the supervision of the HR Business Partner, this position will oversee postdoctoral scholar and related visa appointments and will provide assistance with staff, student and volunteer appointments. This role requires a detailed-oriented individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. This position involves collaborating with the Radiology HR team, department leadership and supervisors, and external partners to ensure smooth and efficient processes while adhering to department and institutional policies and processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.)
**Postdoctoral Scholar/Visiting Appointments and Visa Processing- 50%**
+ Process assigned new Postdoctoral Scholar, Visiting Scholar, Visiting Scientists, and VISIT Student appointments and oversee Workday submission for these appointments
+ Oversee and track end dates of Postdoctoral Scholar, Visiting Scholar, Visiting Scientists, and VISIT Student appointments, and process renewals as necessary
+ Coordinate onboarding, which includes administering new personnel dept HR orientation, account access, and collaborating with supervisor/hiring team
+ Track & audit required onboarding training and documents for new employees.
+ Coordinate offboarding/exiting of employees
+ Process and oversee J1 Visa requests for assigned Visiting & Postdoctoral Scholar appointments. This includes working with the International Scholars Office (ISO), visa applicant, and hiring supervisor to ensure necessary documents are collected and processed timely and accurately. Additionally, the HR Coordinator may assist with H1B visas.
+ Coordinate the department's annual postdoc evaluation tracking and auditing.
+ Attend necessary meetings and training workshops to keep afloat of related academic staff policies, union-related policies, and employment laws.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for postdoctoral scholar appointments, which includes advising hiring managers and department leadership regarding visa rules/regulations and postdoctoral scholar policies, as well as answering inquiries from related employees or prospective employees
+ Collaborate with RADHR team to refine/create HR business processes and SOPs

+ Assist HR Business Partner in the recruitment process for staff including assisting with writing job descriptions, submitting new position or replacement positions into Workday, managing requisitions in UWHires, interview scheduling, conducting screenings/references, initiating background checks and processing hires into system.
+ Coordinate onboarding of new employees, which includes administering new personnel dept HR orientation, account access, and coordinating with supervisor/hiring team.
+ Track & audit required onboarding trainings and documents for new employees.
+ Coordinate offboarding/exiting of employees
+ Maintaining department processes/SOPs, documents, checklists, templates (verifying dept & UW documents are up-to-date)
+ Track temporary staff appointments and request extensions as necessary and ensure temporary appointments are in compliance with University policies
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files for HR department and align with University retention schedules for older files
+ Maintain accurate job descriptions in Workday
+ Initiate variety of Workday business processes and provide updates to HR Business Partner, HR team and hiring managers as needed.
+ Respond to a wide variety of staff-related inquiries and forward to the appropriate groups as necessary
+ Support HR efforts by assisting with document preparation, generating reports, creating presentations, obtaining & validating data, and providing basic instructions HR Business Partner, RADHR team, and others as necessary.
+ Coordinate the department's annual staff evaluation tracking and auditing.
+ Review staff employment processes and recommend revisions to enhance efficiency of department operations; assists in implementing changes to effect continual improvement in services provided; and complies with regulatory and legal requirements.
+ Attend necessary meetings and training workshops to keep afloat of staff policies, union-related policies, and employment laws.
+ Other responsibilities in support of the HR team goals.
+ Collaborate with RADHR team to refine/create HR business processes and SOPs **Student/Volunteer Appointments - 10%**
+ Process assigned student appointment and volunteer requests. This includes submitting job postings for recruitment, initiating pre-hire actions such as background checks and student and work study eligibility, processing hiring of recruited applicants or pre-identified candidates, and submitting Workday business processes.
+ Onboard student employees
+ Oversee the end of appointments of all student appointments and working with HR Business Partner to any necessary renewals get initiated in a timely manner. **Minimum Requirements**
+ High School diploma or GED certificate and two years of office/clerical experience including at least six months of experience in a human resources or related setting OR equivalent education/experience. **Desired Qualifications**
