About the Job
The HRIS/Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing payroll and human resources information systems (HRIS) processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role will focus on using ADP Workforce Now to process payroll, maintain employee records, and support benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly or monthly payroll in ADP, ensuring accurate calculations of hours, overtime, deductions, and taxes.
- Maintain and update employee data in ADP, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and pay rate changes.
- Collaborate with the Benefits team to manage enrollments, changes, and terminations in employee benefit programs.
- Reconcile benefits deductions and ensure accuracy between payroll records and benefits invoices.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees, resolving payroll and benefits-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Generate and analyze payroll and HRIS reports for auditing, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including tax filings, garnishments, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in year-end processes, including W-2 preparation, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Train managers and employees on using ADP self-service features for payroll and benefits access.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and HRIS management, with at least 2 years using ADP Workforce Now or similar systems.
- Knowledge of employee benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and FSA/HSA plans.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support and educate employees on payroll and benefits issues.
- Experience with Open Enrollment and coordinating benefit renewals is a plus.
