Job Summary
- The Human Resources Representative role has a focus on Employee Relations. As an integral member of the Employee Relations team, the role requires the ability to build and maintain effective relationships, identify problems and solutions, and seek opportunities to continuously improve.
- The role is responsible for responding to employee and manager inquiries and questions, connecting them with information and providing direction on HR processes and services throughout the employment lifecycle.
- This Full Time role has a hybrid work schedule option of 2 days remote and 3 days on site at our TÜV SÜD America, Inc. Wakefield, MA Headquarters.
- The Human Resources Representative will be responsible for executing processes, communications and services for a defined population. Working with managers to solve people and workplace issues, promoting a positive workplace environment through consistent and objective communications between employees and managers.
- The role advises managers and employees with the interpretation of policies and implements best practices.
- Utilizing their expertise in technical and government regulatory aspects of employment to advise regarding hiring, termination, performance management, total rewards, etc. Effectively collect, analyze, summarize data and trends and make recommendations for policy and/or program improvements and changes based on data.
- Coaching managers and employees through the performance management process. Working with managers to enhance and improve their interpersonal skills. Managing employee relations issues (e.g., investigating employee and/or manager complaints regarding conduct, performance, or policy adherence, facilitating communications between employees and/or manager, etc.)
- Communicating the Company’s (local and global) policies, programs, and initiatives through HR program advocacy (e.g., communicating the business value of HR initiatives, managing HR program roll out to minimize business disruption, etc ).
- Partnering with the business and colleagues on key initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, succession planning, etc.) and HR-specific communications (e.g., employee handbook, company codes of conduct, workforce changes, etc.)
- The Human Resources Representative role requires a high level of accuracy, timeliness and proactivity with a predisposition for solving problems and figuring out the best way to do things, with the goal of delivering a best-in-class experience for employees and management.

EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of professional human resources experience, in a matrix environment, desired
- 2 – 4 years of experience as HR generalist and/or hands-on HR administration.
- Working knowledge of applicable U.S. laws and regulations related to the HR function (EEO, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, HIPPA etc.);
- Human Resources Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP/CCP) designation, desirable
