About the Job
The office is located in Columbia at Marion General Hospital. Position is responsible for Marion General Hospital, Jefferson Davis Community Hospital, and Walthall General Hospital, which requires travel to those locations as needed.
The HR Manager-Regional Hospitals is a working manager reporting to the System Director of Human Resources and partnering with hospital’s Administrator and leadership team to plan, organize, direct, and manage all aspects of the Human Resources function including employment, benefits, leave, employee relations, and labor relations. Accomplishes departmental goals and objectives and partners with all levels of hospital leadership to implement effective Human Resource programs, processes, policies, best practices, and solutions that ensure compliance with Forrest Health policy & federal and state regulatory requirements. Effectively meets the changing Human Resources needs of the organization and maintain a healthy balance between the interests of the organization and individuals it employs. Utilizes organizational strategies in a balanced approach that compliments the hospital’s shared values and produces meaningful contributions to each element of the hospital’s Formula for Success. Requires the promotion of and adherence to the organization’s established Corporate Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious belief. .
Performance Expectations:
- Manages the day-to-day HR functions timely and accurately.
- Partners with administration and leadership team to accomplish goals.
- Ensures staff is trained & holds them accountable to accurately and meet goals and expectations accurately.
- Employs strategies in a balanced approach that compliments the hospital’s mission and vision to produce meaningful contributions to each element of the hospitals We CARE approach to service excellence.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college preferred. Advanced understanding /use of Microsoft Office applications and/or data collection/distribution systems. Ability to implement practical applications to streamline departmental processes.
Work Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience working in Human Resources. Must have a minimum of two years of experience specifically applying federal and state laws/regulations as they pertain to Human Resources. Must also have two years of experience working in recruitment & employment.
