Wieland is hiring a HR Business Partner to lead HR support for five sites throughout Texas. The HRBP will partner with leaders and employees on a wide variety of HR issues in the areas of employee relations, professional development, performance, compensation, compliance, policy, and organizational effectiveness.
This role is located in Texas City, TX (largest TX site). While this role is local, occasional travel to other Texas locations or to North America Headquarters may be required (10% travel).
Responsibilities:Responsibilities of an HR Business Partner:
- Operates as a business partner and sounding board, providing advice and counsel to all members of the organization
- Coaches managers on issues including application of HR policies and processes, investigation, and other employee issues; including providing training and guidance as necessary
- Partners closely with managers navigating Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Warnings, offering templates, guidance, and recommendations throughout the process
- Partners with the Talent Acquisition COE to support recruitment processes. With the support of an HR Generalist, this includes helping to coordinate site logistics for interviews, conducting interviews as part of the interview panel, and developing local recruitment strategies to source talent
- Partners with the Talent Management COE to coordinate annual talent processes
- Monitors and analyzes HR metrics to identify trends and put actions in place to drive improvement
- Leads internal investigations when complaints or concerns are brought forward. Escalate complex issues to the Employee Relations COE
- Partners with the Benefits COE to support requests for ADA, FMLA, and other leaves of absences
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to HR practices
- Partners with business and HR leaders to facilitate constructive change and implement new or improved programs
- Assists with special projects and process improvement initiatives by researching, compiling and analyzing human resource information
Ideal HR Business Partner Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- HR Certification preferred (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.)
- 7+ years of progressive broad work in HR including recruiting, training, development, compensation, benefits, HR operations, compliance, and employee relations
- Experience supporting multi-site division warehouse or light industrial operations
- Experience working with HR Centers of Excellence (COE)
- Proven ability to motivate and lead a team
- Demonstrated success as a trusted adviser to multiple levels of the organization and ability to communicate to a range of employee populations.
