The Human Resource Business Partner, in collaboration with leaders, is responsible for alignment of business objectives within the organization and for providing day to day human resources support to employees and managers. Builds partnerships across the Human Resources function and entire organization to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Maintains an effective level of business literacy, financial performance, and culture.

- Consults with management regarding business unit objectives, workforce planning, succession planning, structure, employee relations and provides guidance regarding impact to employees.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with human resources specialists to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations in partnership with HR Compliance & Risk.
- Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management in areas of coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions.
- Partners with Human Resources Administrators and Talent Acquisition to initiate new hire requests, assist with associated inquiries and guide process through to offer.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department, compliance and/or outside counsel as needed.
- Promotes the internal reputation of HR across the enterprise as a valuable resource to both employees and managers; ensures a sense of advocacy with the human resources team.
- Provides guidance on new hires, transfers, promotions and salary actions with an emphasis on competitiveness and pay equity in consultation with Compensation partners.
- Identifies training needs for partner business groups and liaises with internal partners to facilitate assessment.
- Participates in onboarding initiatives including new employee orientation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field or equivalent to equal a minimum of 4 years relevant Human Resources experience.
- Minimum 7 years' relevant professional Human Resources experience.
- Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to human resources.
- Exceptionally strong business acumen, collaboration and consultation skills.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of employees and management.
- Demonstrated commitment to being a steward and student of diversity, equity and inclusion; and in coaching and leading teams and leaders to translate commitment into action.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain productive individual and team partnerships within the HR function and across the enterprise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Human Resources Professional (PHR) (SPHR).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically partnering with commercial and/or agricultural banking.
