Job Description
Summary: Under the general direction of the Senior Executive HR Director, the HR Assistant is responsible for providing support with recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, compensation management, and staff training.
The HR Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization's employment practices and work environment are in line with the relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must be able to multi-task, have strong computer literacy and typing skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a highly organized work ethic.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or Business Management preferred
Experience Required: Relevant experience and knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures, as well as labor laws and state regulations.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for ensuring that the organization is adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to HR.
• Conducting internal audits to ensure policies and procedures are up to date.
• Creating improvement plans and implementing them.
• Managing certifications to ensure they are current.
• Conducting presentations that educate employees about compliance topics.
• Ensuring that employees know basic workplace safety practices.
• Addressing any compliance issues that may arise.
• Keeping up-to-date compliance records.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and CAH policies and procedures.
• Assists with all federal and state reporting requirements.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Sr. Executive HR Director.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to communicate efficiently with employees.
• Excellent organizational skills
• A solid understanding of compliance processes
