About the Job
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- Experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or Phd.
- Experience in one or more of the following, compute architecture, data center infrastructure, CPU (x86/Arm) and Input/Output (I/O) technologies, cloud Infrastructure, storage or Solid-state drive (SSD), understanding of the operational aspects of Cloud Servers.
- Experience in charting out workload needs for adjacent Total Addressable Market (TAM) tools, requiring Google Compute Engine (GCE) and compute innovation.
- Experience in innovative, industry-leading, category-defining technical products to market.
- Knowledge of different workload requirements (e.g., emerging and existing) and their demands on the underlying infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive new capabilities for the VMware instances in cloud including intercepting new technologies, roadmap planning, business growth forecasting, ecosystem and customer adoption.
- Work on product strategy for the VMware instance including the associated business outcomes and presenting to key leadership inside Google cloud platform.
- Work across hardware, software, research and product teams towards long term product goals, understand the engaged dynamics and industry trends.
- Drive new capabilities in the foundational compute Infrastructure layer (e.g., hypervisor and virtualization stack) and deliver innovation for Google cloud.
- Define and drive go-to-market strategies for product launches and provide data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives and maximize return on investment.
