About the Job
A Ground Support Equipment Maintenance Technicians is responsible for diagnosing operational problems and making corrective repairs to industrial trucks, refuel trucks, forklifts, cars and more. This technician works to uphold the highest standards of serviceability of all mechanized and non-mechanized equipment used in the service or aircraft and the dispensing of aviation fuels. A valid driver's license is required. Ability to obtain an airport security badge is required.
Job Duties
Responsible for but not limited to:
- Replacing parts on tractors, trucks, lifts, belt loaders and other equipment
- Maintaining various systems and machines
- Performing all scheduled checks and preventative maintenance as prescribed by manufacturer or management.
- Repairing engines, transmissions, braking systems, electrical systems, and various other equipment when required
- Change Tires
- Follow a maintenance schedule
- Diagnosing and solving different problems
- Checking fluid levels
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid Driver"'s License
- Manual dexterity
- Problem-solving
- Physically able
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work under pressure
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to properly communicate
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
