We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Global Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate will have a robust operational and general accounting background, with experience in public accounting and multinational environments. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will lead the US and European accounting teams, overseeing all technical and operational accounting aspects of the company.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with management to implement strategic, operations-focused accounting and reporting processes that support the company’s rapid growth. This role also involves keeping management informed of the accounting impacts of business decisions. The successful candidate will assume direct responsibility for the close and reporting process, establish a compliant SOX environment, and enhance core transactional accounting functions.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Global Corporate Controller to join our finance team. This is a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to lead the global accounting and financial reporting activities of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations worldwide, including the design and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance with international financial standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the global accounting operations including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and statutory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606, IFRS 15, and other international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and present financial reports in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulations.
- Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems; maintain documentation for audits of the company's financial statements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes; analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Coordinate tax planning and compliance; liaise with tax consultants.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with management and CEO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An MBA or related advanced degree is highly desirable.
- CPA or equivalent certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a global organization.
- Proficient in GL and well versed with ASC 606 and IFRS 15, and other IFRS.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with a large-scale ERP system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate risk by conducting assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
