Geotechnical Site Engineer

Job Summary:
Provide geotechnical engineering services for a variety of projects, including site investigations, soil and rock analysis, and foundation design. Responsibilities include performing calculations, preparing reports, developing plans, conducting inspections, and resolving design or construction issues. Collaborate with project teams and communicate complex geotechnical concepts to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities:
Conduct geotechnical field investigations, including soil sampling and testing.
Analyze subsurface conditions and prepare recommendations for foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures.
Perform laboratory testing and evaluate geotechnical data for inclusion in reports.
Draft designs and technical plans using CAD and other engineering software.
Review construction compliance with geotechnical plans and specifications.
Solve design and construction challenges related to soil stability, slope analysis, and settlement.
Assist with proposal development, budget tracking, and project documentation.
Collaborate under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
Experience with soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical testing methods.
Familiarity with geotechnical software and CAD tools.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record.
