Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Geospatial Architect to lead, manage, and grow our cloud geospatial solutions team. This individual will provide thought leadership, deliver innovative solutions, and act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their geospatial needs are met with excellence. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Esri technology and solutions, along with strong leadership and client engagement skills.
Work location is flexible allowing remote work; minimal travel (<20%).

Responsibilities
- Architect scalable and secure geospatial solutions tailored to client needs, including data models, platforms, and applications.
- Oversee the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of geospatial systems for clients.
- Ensure solutions adhere to best practices, compliance standards, and organizational policies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in geospatial cloud architecture, staying abreast of emerging trends, tools, and technologies.
- Develop and manage a team of geospatial professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Mentor and coach team members to ensure their professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.
- Present and demonstrate geospatial capabilities, solutions, and strategies to clients, both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with project management to help clients define project scope and requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client value through innovative geospatial solutions.
- Define the geospatial vision, roadmap, and strategy in collaboration with both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Align geospatial initiatives with organizational and client goals, ensuring seamless integration into enterprise architectures.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging geospatial technology to drive business value and improve decision-making for clients.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field.
- Strong expertise in Esri software (e.g., Esri, QGIS), geospatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Oracle Spatial), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proven experience working directly with clients and delivering customized geospatial solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing teams, with a focus on employee engagement and development.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align geospatial initiatives with client and business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of collaborating across diverse teams and with external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
