Dewberry is currently seeking a Geospatial Analyst II located near our Long Beach, CA office or Rancho Cordova, CA office. Remote positions will be considered dependent on experience, but the applicant must reside in California. Responsibilities:Primary Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Working on federal, state, and local projects in a multitude of domains (transportation, emergency management, public health, utilities, environment, etc.), most of which will have a geospatial data component
- Working directly with Project Managers to assist with the execution of projects, on time and within budget.
- Independently managing tasks within projects when appropriate.
- Creating Scripts/Models to automate repetitive tasks, for both internal processes and project execution
- Building GIS applications and managing data in the web environment
- Collaborating professionally with colleagues and clients to meet objectives and resolve technical challenges
- Assisting with some business development in California and surrounding states. (Conference and webinar presentations, networking, etc.)
- Providing feedback and support for developing and/or updating SOPs and project reports as necessary.
- Prioritizing data quality and integrity in all tasks
- Traveling on-site, mostly for projects in California and surrounding states (10%)
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, GIS, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the Data Analysis or GIS field or equivalent combination with a focus on spatial data and application development
- In-depth experience with ESRI’s desktop products including ArcMap 10x and ArcGIS Pro
- In-depth experience with ESRI’s web-based products including those contained in the AGOL and Enterprise Portal environments
- Scripting and automation experience (Python or equivalent)
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight schedules as required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with client-facing projects
Beneficial Skills & Experience
- Experience with Extract, transform, and load (ETL) tools (especially FME)
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and database administration
- Experience with Branch Versioning in the ESRI environment
- Experience with MS Power Suite (Power Automate, Power BI, etc.)
- Experience with open-source solutions including QGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, etc.
- GISP Certification, ASPRS certifications in Lidar or other Remote Sensing technologies a plus

Salary Range:
The projected range for this position is $65,100-$83,800 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
