Accounts Payable Practitioner - Gilbane Building Company

Overview

Gilbane is seeking an Accounts Payable Practitioner, under supervision, to be responsible for preparing and verifying vendor invoices for goods and services. Ensures that invoices are paid in a timely basis. Will process employee reimbursement.  Typically works with large or more complex invoices. May produce complex reports. This role will sit primarily in the office.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and verifies vendor invoices to ensure accuracy
• Enters invoices into financial system
• Ensures prompt payment to vendors and employees
• Researching and resolving accounts payable issues with vendors

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Role typically requires between 3+ years of experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior experience with Concur is highly preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Close attention to detail required
• Problem solving skills required
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• CMiC experience a plus
• Knowledge of Construction accounting a plus

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    

For Providence, RI this ranges from $47,900.00-$65,800.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
