Flooring General Manager

The Flooring General Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our flooring division. This position requires an experienced, motivated, and strategic leader with a deep understanding of the flooring industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, sales, customer relationships, and team development, while ensuring our division aligns with the company's overall goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:

   • Develop and implement efficient operational strategies to ensure the smooth flow of flooring projects.
   • Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
   • Monitor and optimize inventory levels, ensuring timely product availability.

2. Sales and Business Development:

   • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
   • Cultivate relationships with key clients and industry partners to foster business growth.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.

3. Team Management:

   • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of flooring professionals.
   • Provide guidance, support, and performance evaluations to drive employee development.
   • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

4. Customer Satisfaction:

   • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and maintaining exceptional service quality.
   • Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service delivery.

5. Financial Management:

   • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
   • Control costs, monitor financial performance, and make necessary adjustments to meet financial targets.

6. Compliance and Safety:

   • Ensure that all flooring projects comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
   • Implement and monitor safety protocols to prevent workplace accidents.

7. Reporting and Communication:

   • Regularly report divisional performance and progress to senior management.
   • Maintain open and effective communication channels within the division and with other departments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• Proven experience in the flooring industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and business analytics tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
