General Manager - Banquet Hall Event Space
As the General Manager of our banquet hall event space, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless event execution, exceptional customer experiences, and efficient day-to-day operations. Let’s dive into the specifics:
Responsibilities:
Event Coordination and Execution:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements, including themes, menus, and special requests.
- Coordinate all aspects of events, from setup to breakdown, ensuring smooth transitions between different phases.
- Supervise event staff, including servers, bartenders, and decorators.
- Ensure that events adhere to safety, health, and sanitation standards.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for events, including cost projections, revenue targets, and expense control.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality services.
- Monitor financial performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet revenue goals.
Marketing and Sales:
- Work closely with the sales team to promote the banquet hall space.
- Develop marketing strategies to attract clients for weddings, corporate events, parties, and other occasions.
- Attend industry networking events to build relationships and generate leads.
Staff Leadership and Training:
- Hire, train, and supervise banquet staff, ensuring they provide exceptional service.
- Foster a positive work environment, emphasizing teamwork and professionalism.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues promptly.
Venue Maintenance and Upkeep:
- Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and repairs of the banquet hall and surrounding areas.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and fire codes.
- Address any facility-related issues promptly.
Customer Relations:
- Interact with clients during events, addressing any concerns and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Handle feedback and implement improvements based on customer input.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in event management, preferably in a banquet hall setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in event planning software and tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
