Must have a flexible schedule. Nights and weekends are required. Restaurant Experience is preferred. Must be hard working and a team player, willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. Job Qualifications
The following requirements must be met in order to qualify for this position.
- Must have ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must have 2-3 years of experience
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends
- In-Store Training Program must be completed
- Satisfactory drug screen and background inquiry
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
- Operate restaurant in accordance with established performance and operating standards as set out in the Zaxby’s Operations Manual.
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service always.
- Increase sales and profit by building community relationships/partnerships and providing outstanding products and service.
- Review income statements and progress towards goals with the Director of Operations and take actions to solve problems as necessary.
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, procedures, cooking and serving standards.
- Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Communicate openly and honestly with subordinates, superiors, and all others about plans, progress, and problems.
- Continually mentor all members of the Management Team in the operations of the Zaxby’s unit and prepare them for future advancement.
- Make employment and termination decisions.
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Ensure restaurant is 100% staffed with quality team members.
- Demonstrate effective interviewing skills for hiring only top performers.
- Ensure an effective work schedule is posted each week at the set designated time.
- Ensure full implementation of all training programs.
- Review daily numbers each day of work and coach and praise results.
- Provide clear development plans and performance reviews for all members of the management staff.
- Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspections and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
- Provide leadership by generating excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude and commitment toward company objectives.
- Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.
