Job Summary
This position will manage the overall operation of a multi-client, multi-shift facility within The Integration Group, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations, safety, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and quality. Responsible for the overall performance of the accounts and facility, including metrics, KPIs, financials, and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Drives business results by continuously managing the performance and profitability of the facility.
- Builds and maintains cross-functional partnerships with Finance, Human Resources, and Sales and Support teams.
- Develop, implement, and maintain advanced distribution technologies and strategic plans to optimize processes and reduce costs.
- Lead and mentor a team of managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare and manage the P&L, ensuring cost-effective operations and financial accountability.
- Leverage financial reports and other business data to assess the effectiveness of distribution strategies and make data-driven decisions
- Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each assigned department and warehouse location.
- Interview, hire, onboard, train, and mentor the staff.
- Assess individual and team capability to ensure talent is in place to accomplish current and future work
- Manage facilities layout and updates, equipment requirements, and capacity planning for future business and company goals.
- Evaluate and improve facility usage, inventory management, and supply chain functions and practices.
- Inspect facilities and work sites to ensure that they are safe, fully functioning, and high-yielding
- Lead team building exercises to promote training and overall employee well-being
- Provide strong and timely communication to all customers and suppliers as required.
- Provide regular performance and planning updates to the executive leadership team
- Responsible for location security calls and issues outside of normal operating business hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 12 years of Operations, Warehouse, Supply Management, or Logistics experience.
- At least 8 years of multi-team building, quality control, budgeting, training, and performance-based environment experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a 3PL or warehouse distribution environment with multi-client and P&L responsibility
- At least 1 year of automation / robotic warehouse experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Experience and competence with computers including Microsoft 365, Teams, and Outlook.
- Ability to use a pallet jack and other basic warehouse equipment.
- The General Manager is required to be on call for location security during non-business hours.
Competencies/Skills
- Ability to work independently and team-orientated, able to work with diverse individuals within and outside the TIG Organization.
- Experience and competence with MS Office Products including Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Softeon a plus
- Problem-solving and detail-orientated, able to think critically about complex problems and make practical decisions
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Strong knowledge of and commitment to Continuous Improvement
