We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This position presents an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex legal matters, providing strategic advice and guidance to our diverse client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad caseload, including civil litigation, contract disputes, corporate governance, and compliance matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a team of talented legal professionals in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on various legal issues (business law, contract law, labor law, international law etc.)
2. Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
3. Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediation sessions.
4. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
5. Collaborate with legal team members and other departments to ensure the alignment of legal strategies with business objectives.
6. Manage and oversee the work of junior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
7. Maintain current knowledge of changes in legislation and best practices within the legal industry.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring an understanding of their business objectives and legal needs.
9. Manage all aspects of litigation, including managing litigation attorneys, and liaising with and managing outside counsel.
10. Ensure compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations and other formalities.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of legal experience with a strong background in corporate law, contract law, and litigation.
3. Admission to the NY or NJ State Bar.
4. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to research and analyze legal documents for accuracy.
5. Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
7. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
8. Excellent judgment and ability to interpret laws and regulations.
9. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
10. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
