General Laborer - Waste Connections

We have an immediate opening for a Laborer at our Silver Springs Organics, a Waste Connections company, in Rainier, WA. In this position, you'll wear many hats, with primary duties including flagging traffic, operating minor equipment, performing general labor, and assisting customers. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty and are a self-motivated, hardworking individual with good communication skills, we want to talk to you. This is a full-time, year-round position with a great company. The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. The position pays between $21.00 and $23.00 per hour. _Please do not call or stop by the local facility._ **Responsibilities:** + Perform various duties at the transfer station. + Flag and direct traffic coming through the facility. + Assist and interact with customers as needed. + Driving within the landfill occasionally requires a clear driving record and a valid driver's license. **Ideal Candidate Will Have:** + At least one year of experience in a physically demanding outdoor job. + Manage and work in environments with unpleasant odors. + The ability to stand outside for a 10-hour shift. + The capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. + Flexibility to work at multiple locations if required. + A high school diploma or equivalent. + A clear driving record and a valid driver's license. + The ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment background check, as this is a safety-sensitive role.
