We're seeking a motivated and dynamic Direct Sales Representative to join our growing team and drive sales in the fitness industry.
The GSA Sales Manager will lead and manage all aspects of the Government Services Administration (GSA) sales channel, focusing on driving revenue growth and expanding True Fitness' presence within federal, state, and local government sectors. This individual will develop and execute strategic sales plans, build relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure compliance with GSA contracting requirements. The ideal candidate is a highly organized results-driven sales professional with expertise in government sales and a passion for fitness equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve GSA sales targets.
- Identify, pursue and close new opportunities across a broad spectrum of federal/military and state government agencies.
- Supervise/monitor government web sites such as (SAM.Gov, GSA eBuy, Unison), for RFQ quoting, and respond to RFPs.
- Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government procurement officers, contracting officials, and key decision-makers.
- Act as a primary point of contact for government customers, providing exceptional service and support.
- Contract Management:
- Ensure compliance with all GSA contract requirements, including accurate pricing, terms, and reporting.
- Maintain GSA Advantage online shopping and ordering system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and government procurement processes.
- Sales Execution:
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract award and delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, bids, and RFP responses.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and opportunities within the government sales channel.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and service teams to align offerings with customer needs.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to drive GSA sales initiatives.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue projections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GSA or government sales, preferably in the fitness or equipment industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of GSA contracting, federal acquisition regulations, and government procurement processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as required.
