Job Summary
The General Manager - Workplace Services is responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional service standards, ensuring optimal space utilization, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role emphasizes problem-solving, process development, and data-driven decision-making to enhance the workplace experience. The General Manager will collaborate closely with agencies and real-estate team, plan experience-based solutions and liaise with external vendors to elevate the workspace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead, train, and coach a team of Workplace Services professionals to deliver unique guest experiences.
+ Coordinate resources to ensure all service areas are appropriately staffed.
+ Oversee the integration and training of new team members.
+ Lead the team with Rapport values and integrate them with client’s vision of services.
+ Develop and implement strategic operational plans that align with the company’s mission and objectives.
+ Ensure space optimization practices, tools, and processes are updated and operating accurately; conduct quality assurance checks.
+ Monitor and analyze information and data systems to discover ways of enhancing them.
+ Deliver timely and clear operational updates to leadership and clients.
+ Assist with workplace space conflicts and changes, engage functional teams such as Facilities, IT, Occupancy planning and projects team on resolving the queries.
+ Collaborate with Workplace Services clients on daily service delivery and assist with initiatives to elevate the workspace experience.
+ Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and foster multiple executive-level client relationships.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors and service providers.
+ Work closely with multiple departments such as - Corporate Communications, Facilities, IT & AV, Security, Business Unit Functions (Agencies).
+ Develop and assist with creating a collaborative environment among workplace members through events and personal introductions.
+ Track industry-related workplace trends and suggest innovative strategies to enhance user experiences.
+ Observe floor operations and user behaviors.
+ Plan and execute small and large events aimed at enhancing workplace productivity and providing an experience-based environment.
+ Facilitate and support offsite events.
+ Possess catering set-up knowledge; ServSafe Certification preferred and knowledge of food handling practices.
+ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports; review key metrics around space and amenity utilization.
+ Utilize data to effectively solve space or amenities-related issues, ensuring an elevated user experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
+ Proven experience in a managerial role within workplace services or a related industry.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process development and data-driven decision-making.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Experience with event planning, logistics, and execution of large-scale events.
+ Familiarity with space management tools such as EMS or ServiceNow.
+ Knowledge of HR policies and payroll processes.
+ ServSafe Certification and Food Handling Certification preferred.
+ Able to work occasional evenings or weekends to support events or urgent operational needs.
+ Supporting and overseeing NYC and NY Metro offices which offer amenities such as - Conference Centers, C-Suite, Workplace Neighborhoods etc.
