The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a Full-Time Recreation Attendant to lead and improve aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Parks and Recreation department. The full-time Recreation Attendant earns a competitive salary of $13.01-$14.95/hour based on qualifications. We also offer access to the city's recreation fitness center and employee assistance program.
Availability to work on weekends may be required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A PART-TIME RECREATION ATTENDANT
Job Summary
The purpose of this class within the organization is to perform various duties at an assigned recreational facility, to maintain the property, and to interact with and answer questions for its patrons.
This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Essential Functions
- Monitors the activities of contracted, independent instructors, officials, rentals, and volunteers.
- Provides assistant and information to participants, spectators, umpires, and citizens regarding recreation programs and parks.
- Logs daily visitation.
- Evaluates participant needs and interest and makes recommendations; responds to customer and public inquiries, concerns and complaints.
- Assists with administrative duties at the front desk; answers phone calls, sells and renews memberships, gives tours.
- Cleans and maintains facilities when necessary.
- Locks and secures building, recreation areas including fields at the end of the day.
Additional Duties:
- Prepares for events by assisting in event set-up; participates in event tear down.
- Oversees daily use and special events of the Natatorium by department staff, schools, military, community organizations and clubs.
- Patrols facilities to detect damage to facilities and report damages to appropriate authority.
- Assists with filtration system operation, maintenance and repair.

Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Requires three (3) months recreation or closely related experience.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- First Aid
- CPR
