COMPANY PROFILE:
This organization is privately owned and delivers the highest quality neuropsychological and psychotherapy services in the area. Their services include, but are not limited to, evaluations, IQ testing, consultations, couples therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, witness testimony, and more. They have a staff of more than 40 dedicated individuals and are currently hiring a new financial team member due to growth.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a diverse role that encompasses elements of bookkeeping, general finance, accounting, billing, claims, and human resources.
The overall duties of the role include:
- day-to-day financial operations
- financial transactions
- general ledger maintenance and management reporting
- pay bills
- send and monitor invoices
- monitor A/R and claims reconciliation
- prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- strategic data analysis, research, and modeling
- ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
- oversee and monitor collections
- credential clinicians with insurance companies
- assist with provider onboarding
- add and drop staff from health/dental insurance policies
- COBRA compliance
- other duties as assigned
The new financial associate / bookkeeper will work closely with the Director of Finance and Clinical Director, helping to manage and develop budgets, track financial statuses, and track reconciliations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Finance or Accounting (or 10 years relevant experience)
- 5 years relevant experience
- financial experience in a healthcare environment preferred; related fields accepted
- knowledge of claims processing strongly preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Windows and Mac OS proficiency
- Quickbooks proficiency (A/P, A/R, credits / refunds, entries, understanding classes, etc.)
