Kelly Services is currently partnering with a growing CPA firm in the Bingham Farms, MI area seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join the team. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, processing payroll and sales tax, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Quickbooks
Job Specifications:
Role: Full Charge Bookkeeper
Duration: Full-time, direct hire
Location: Bingham Farms, MI – 100% onsite
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: $60-65,000 depending on experience
Hours: M-F 8-5

Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Prepare Bookkeeping and payroll services for the CPA firm (3 locations, approximately 30 people)
+ Accurately record, input, or download daily financial transactions, completing the coding and posting process to ensure the integrity of the financial records.
+ Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
+ Timely process payroll and sales tax, ensuring accurate calculations for wages, tax withholdings, company contributions, and sales tax obligations. Maintain a high level of detail to ensure all filings and payments are prepared on schedule.
+ In house payroll through QuickBooks and/or Accounting CS
+ Live payroll – actually getting hours, calculating payroll, generating checks and check stubs (all payroll calculations and deductions) and providing checks
+ Prepare comprehensive financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account data and trends.
+ Accounts Payable
+ Accounts Receivable
+ Collections
+ Journal Entries
+ Conduct monthly, quarterly and year end close
+ Coding the disbursements – feed into trial balance, tie out and reconcile this
+ Write up checks, recording deposits – hand writing checks – write up work and recording on check stubs inside Quickbooks (client provides bank statements and transactions and they would put together the financial statements)
+ Reconcile accounts, credit cards and have a sense of having cleaned up, create GL and trial balance
+ Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and understanding financial statements.
+ Employ technology tools to manage records and generate reports, ensuring data integrity and security.
Qualifications & Skills:
+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a similar setting. Experience working for a CPA / accounting firm performing Bookkeeping, payroll and payroll tax forms for multiple clients a plus.
+ Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and understanding financial statements.
+ Experience preparing payroll tax forms, specifically form 941
+ Skilled in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks desktop are both used here as well as Accounting CS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with automated cloud-based transaction tools (e.g., Bill.com) is advantageous; QuickBooks certification is a plus.
+ Strong focus on accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
+ Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
