We are seeking highly motivated, energetic, and experienced pharmacy technicians to help with the fulfillment of prescriptions on our automation line. The Pharmacy Fulfillment Technician Lead ensures the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescription orders.
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Leads the fulfillment technician team in all aspects of the pharmacy fulfillment process including accurately processing, filling, packaging, dispensing, tracking and recordkeeping of prescription orders. (essential)
2. Provides issue resolution support by addressing any issues that arise during the dispensing or delivery process. (essential)
3. Has the authority to train, assign work, direct and support daily work activities for fulfillment technician staff. (essential)
4. Development and maintenance of fulfillment technician training guides. (essential)
5. Oversee the new hire training as well as the ongoing training for the fulfillment technician team. Ensure that all fulfillment technician staff maintain competency in all required tasks related to the pharmacy fulfillment process. (essential)
6. Ensure that all fulfillment technician staff are performing tasks consistently and according to approved department policies, processes, and procedures. (essential)
7. Oversee the routine cleaning and maintenance of pharmacy and pharmacy equipment. (essential)
8. Maintaining, procuring, and replenishing inventory and packaging supplies. (essential)
9. Ensure staff are adhering to any processes established to maintain compliance with regulating bodies (ex: Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, Accrediting organizations). Enforcement of HIPAA and PHI regulations related to the fulfillment process. (essential)
10. Assist with the maintenance of pharmacy automation equipment. (essential)
11. May participate on a consultative basis as needed on quality projects and initiatives including but not limited to service excellence training, patient/physician satisfaction surveys, and resource tool development for optimization of delivery procedures. Collaborates with division leadership on other ambulatory initiatives and projects as needed. (essential)
12. All other duties assigned by the pharmacy manager or designee. (essential)
Required Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. License Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech required.
3. 3-5 years related work experience required.
4. Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and standard Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. PTCB certification.
2. Inventory, delivery, and/or prescription fulfillment experience.
3. Previous experience as a lead pharmacy technician.
4. Previous pharmacy work experience in a high-volume store.
