Job Summary:
The Front of House (FOH) Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A is responsible for supervising team members during their shift, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining high standards of operation. This role involves leading by example, providing support to team members, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the front of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate FOH team members during assigned shifts.
- Ensure team members are following Chick-fil-A's service and operational standards.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping with problem-solving and decision-making.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals and updates.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Guest Experience:
- Ensure all guests receive prompt, friendly, and courteous service.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and take proactive steps to enhance the dining experience.
- Uphold Chick-fil-A's customer service standards at all times.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee FOH operations, including order taking, cashiering, and dining area maintenance.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the FOH area.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for FOH supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Training & Development:
- Assist in training new team members on FOH procedures and best practices.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills.
- Identify opportunities for team members' growth and development.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with scheduling and shift planning as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of shift activities and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding shift performance and issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as cashiering and cleaning.
