Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years previous experience, including welding, electrical trouble-shooting, and performing PM’s on equipment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills are required
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Knowledge of the blow/injection molding processes, procedures, and machinery.
- Capable of using a multimeter
- Must have tools
Responsibilities:
The Forklift Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for preventative maintenance and repair on Forklifts and other equipment used in the production process for bottling water, storage of water, handling of water, and testing of water.
GMP & PPE Required
While on the production floor in the plant you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the production floor must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs. It is also required that all personnel wear safety glasses as the tasks requires. Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Also follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.
Essential Job Duties: .
- Maintains safe and clean workshop, follows safety guidelines.
- Tracks all performed equipment maintenance in logs.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Assists with changeovers on all equipment.
- Troubleshoot set up, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems
- Occasionally operate equipment to provide short term coverage
- Perform/assist preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Assists with parts purchasing
- Assists with spare parts inventory on an as needed basis
- Keeps all work areas in a clean and orderly appearance
- Communicates with the maintenance and production teams to schedule repairs as needed
- Prepares and sends daily production reports to team members
- Completes work orders as assigned
- Make routine checks on all equipment for problems and takes necessary action to correct problems discovered.
- Inspects and ensures that all machinery is in good working order and meets production specifications.
- Works closely with shift supervisor to establish and maintain a positive and safe working environment.
- Reports all emergencies, injuries, and production incidents immediately to shift supervisor.
- Finishes all required paper work at the by the end of shift each day.
