Salary Range: $ 18.00 - $20.00 per hour (DOE and state)

Provide full operational support during service, maintaining the cleanliness of the venue pre-service, during service, and after service. To provide full operational support to Expeditor, Servers, and Managers, and to deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional & knowledgeable manner in accordance with all Gjelina standards and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
- Report for duty on time, clocking in for your shift using the time clock.
- Manage your time, including resting and meal breaks in compliance with New York Labor Law; keep managers informed when you leave the floor.
- Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene at all times, including clean hair and nails and no heavy perfumes or colognes.
- Adhere to all health, safety, alcohol control, and sanitation protocols.
- Know our regulars and encourage new guests to become regulars by establishing a rapport that includes the guests' likes and dislikes.
- Organize, clean, and maintain all areas of service, especially Expo stations.
- Prepare your stations at the opening and closing of each shift, stocking, cleaning, and preparing for service.
- Communicate with Bussers & Servers to clear dishes and glassware from tables; know the proper way to place a dish on a table, how to carry dishes, and how to set each dish.
- Understand the right of way (guests, food runners, and staff)
- In-depth knowledge of all food menu items, understanding of the main ingredients in each dish, and understanding how to communicate each dish at a table.
- Polishing and restocking silverware, ramekins, plates, etc., as needed.
- Fully understand the floorplan, table numbers, and seat positions of the entire venue
- Communicate clearly with Expo, servers, and Floor + Kitchen managers to support service.
- Attend mandatory training and pre-shift meetings.
- Supporting the management team in all aspects of in-house service and events

- Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and walk for an extended period (8-12 hours).
