Food Quality Assurance Technician – Pleasant Prairie, WI
Our client in Pleasant Prairie, WI is looking for a temp-hire Quality Assurance Technician. Our client is in the food production industry. The QA Technician is responsible for quality and verification of ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products in accordance to specifications.
Compensation: Hourly pay rate starting at $23.00/HR + $3.00 shift premium.
Shift Hours: 7:00pm – 3:15am. OR 6:00pm - 2:15am.
Day of work: Monday – Friday (Saturday mornings)
Some weekend overtime may be required.

Job Duties
- Ensure all parameters of food safety and quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout
- Calibrate lab equipment for accurate results
- Collect and analyze in-process and finished product samples
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing to ensure product meets specifications
- Perform aseptic sampling for microbiological testing
- Follow protocols for documenting testing results
- Recognize deficiencies and initiate proper follow-up
- Identify and isolate product that does not meet standards
- Complete food safety and quality records
- Perform CCP monitoring
Required Work Experience
Required: 1-3 years of Experience in food processing
Preferred Work Experience
3-5 years of Experience in food processing and quality assurance
Requirements
- Must read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must follow GMP Policy - wear company issued uniform and hairnet in production areas.
- Able to communicate and work well with people on all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) & Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
- Strong computer literacy – MS applications, databases
