A position in the Lyons Magnus Regulatory Department, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. This position facilitates Lyons Magnus compliance with labeling and customer requirements in the markets where it has a business interest, including domestic and international accounts.
Pay Range: 24.00 - 29.00/ per hour
Description of Responsibilities:
- Synthesize and communicate regulatory information within defined areas, including ingredients, formulations, Religious and Special Interest Compliance, and other customer requirements
- Generate and provide finished good nutritional and labeling statements to customers and government authorities where Lyons Magnus has a business interest.
- Timely preparation of required Domestic and Export documentation.
- Exceed internal and external customer expectations for documentation within required timelines
- Develop knowledge of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance documents
- Support all Regulatory positions.
- Performs other related and assigned duties by the manager
Qualifications:
- BS degree from an accredited college or university. Degree in sciences preferred.
- 2-4 years' work experience in technical information and/or project management within the food industry.
- Experience with FDA food labeling regulations.
- Experience with USDA food labeling regulations is a plus.
- Read and comprehend technical documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to independently problem solve complex situations.
- Effective written and verbal technical communication with internal and external customers that do not have technical backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and in teams within and across company departments
- Proficient in basic computer programs including Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Genesis a plus.
- Demonstrate understanding and acceptance of the mission, values, goals and objectives of Lyons Magnus.
- International compliance experience is a plus.
Required Education:
- Minimum of B.S. Degree in Food or Nutritional Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
- Professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
