We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent OTR Operations Leader to join our team in the Transportation industry. This is a pivotal role that will oversee all aspects of our over-the-road (OTR) operations, ensuring the efficient and effective transportation of our products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in transportation and logistics, with a proven track record in leadership roles. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, managing the department's budget, and leading the OTR operations team. If you are a strategic thinker, with exceptional financial acumen and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the OTR operations team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
2. Oversee all aspects of dispatching, routing, and load management, ensuring the efficient and effective transportation of our products.
3. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to transportation and logistics.
4. Manage the OTR department’s budget, demonstrating strong financial acumen and effective P&L management.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing any issues or concerns and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
6. Implement and monitor key performance indicators, taking appropriate action to drive performance and achieve targets.
7. Continually review and improve operational processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
2. Proven experience in dispatching, routing, load management, and regulatory compliance.
3. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and P&L management.
4. Excellent customer relations skills, with a proven track record in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
5. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
6. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
8. A strong understanding of all federal, state, and local regulations related to transportation and logistics.
9. A bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
