Client Overview:
Our client is well known in their space and is looking to add a Fleet Manager to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25 – $29/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is looking to add a Fleet Manager to their team in Pembroke Pines, FL. The Fleet Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles. Fleet Manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations.
Responsibilities of the Fleet Manager:
- Closely monitor maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, mileage, and other information, can identify problems and develop solutions to reduce costs and fuel consumption
- Analyze and evaluate the needs of the fleet, to determine if Departments may be able to substitute larger vehicles for smaller vehicles when making new purchases. Fuel efficiency should be a major criterion and the comparison of life-cycle costing, including the cost of fuel, to fairly compare one vehicle purchase against another
- Analyze the size of the Organization’s fleet and the use of the fleet to determine if the Organization should reduce the overall fleet size
- Analyze the need to implement a system that would allow for monitoring of any potential personal use of vehicles, such as GPS tracking. This monitoring system could help identify any improper use of the Organizations vehicles
- Responsible for auctioning off the organization’s vehicles
- Travel between locations and the repair shop for any company vehicles
- Knowledgeable about contracts and estimates for standard repairs on vehicles
Qualifications for the Fleet Manager:
- Prefer 6 years of work experience in automotive repair
- Prefer 2 years of management experience
- Experience with Microsoft word, excel, power point and Outlook
- Must have a valid driver license
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Automotive Technology is preferred
- ASE Master Technician Certification is preferred
