Job Title: Firmware Design Electrical Engineer
Location: Northwest Houston, TX
Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Firmware Design Electrical Engineer with a passion for designing and developing cutting-edge embedded systems from concept through production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in circuit design, embedded system development, product sustaining, and test system development. This role is essential in driving innovation and ensuring product reliability across all stages of development and production. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility while collaborating with a dynamic team in Northwest Houston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement firmware for embedded systems, ensuring robust performance and reliability.
- Design, simulate, and validate analog and digital circuits, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and manufacturability.
- Lead and participate in the entire product development lifecycle—from initial concept and design through prototyping, testing, and product release.
- Support and maintain existing products by troubleshooting, resolving issues, and implementing enhancements to improve performance and extend product life.
- Design and build test systems for validation and production testing, ensuring high standards of quality and functionality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in firmware design, embedded systems, and circuit design.
- Proficiency in embedded C or C++ programming.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
- Familiarity with PCB design and layout software (e.g., Altium, Eagle).
- Hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) and system validation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and innovation.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid setting, with some on-site work required in Northwest Houston.
