Martin County Fire Rescue is accepting applications for Firefighter Paramedic beginning November 1, 2024.
*Minimum compensation requires successful completion of Paramedic checkoff within one year of hire.
Firefighter EMT may be considered.
Please include a copy of the following with your application:
1. Valid Florida State Firefighter Certificate of Compliance issued from the Division of State Fire Marshal*
2. Valid State of Florida (Department of Health) Paramedic and/or EMT certification
3. Current CPR Card (Both BLS and ACLS if applicable)
4. Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) certification
*If currently enrolled in Fire School with a graduation date prior to November 30th, please attach a letter from the school with your expected completion date to your application. Valid Florida State Firefighter Certificate of Compliance will need to be submitted prior to being allowed to complete testing.

- Emergency Care, 14th Edition, by Daniel Limmer and Michael F. O'Keefe
Under the direction of the Chain of Command and other authorized Fire Rescue Supervisors, the person in this position participates in firefighting responsibilities that engage in prevention or suppression of fires, and protection of life and property. This person also provides advanced life support to sick or injured patients in a pre-hospital setting.
