About:

We are looking for a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer for our client’s Albany, NY office. This role involves working with clients to deliver plumbing and fire protection designs, studies, and technical support for various projects, including new construction, renovations, and design/build efforts. The position requires fieldwork, design, and construction administration services.

The successful candidate will supervise engineering staff, provide leadership to junior engineers, and contribute to business development. Responsibilities include overseeing the design of plumbing and fire protection systems, performing code reviews, and completing hydraulic calculations. The engineer will also be responsible for managing project teams, ensuring high-quality work, and meeting project schedules and financial goals. Client interaction, proposal writing, and maintaining client relationships are key components of the role.

Requirements:  
– Minimum 10 years of experience in A/E services  
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)  
– Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills  
– Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure  
– New York Professional Engineer’s License (preferred)
