About the Job
The EMS Field Coordinator position is an administrative position responsible for overseeing field operations and the delivery of emergency medical care by department Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel. Work involves the coordination of the Fire Department’s continuing education program, the procurement and maintenance of EMS-related equipment, participation in community outreach programs, instruction at EMS-related public education events, and the monitoring of Fire Department compliance with medical protocols and techniques to ensure continued improvement in the quality of care. Employees in this class work under the direct supervision of the EMS Chief. This is a commissioned, safety-sensitive position.

The City of Westminster has a Multilingual Stipend Program to encourage and reward benefited employees who are conversationally fluent in languages other than English. Benefited employees have the opportunity to test their language proficiency skills and qualify for a bi-weekly stipend that will vary based on the employee’s level of proficiency and usage.
