We are presently looking to hire an FP&A Analyst for our Accounting/Finance team at our downtown Birmingham, Alabama Headquarters. This is an on-site, full-time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Collaborate with departments to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for a ~40MM revenue company with 50-75 locations.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support budgetary decisions.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance.
- Prepare cash flow statements (direct and indirect).
- Variance Analysis
- Conduct variance analysis between actual financial results and budget/forecast.
- Provide explanations for variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Cost Analysis
- Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Provide insights into cost rivers and assist in developing cost-effective strategies.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis
- Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required by senior management.
- Provide financial insights to support decision making on critical business issues.
- Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with leadership team to contribute to long-term strategic planning.
- Evaluate potential business initiatives and assess their financial impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA a plus.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficient in financial modeling and budgeting software. (NetSuite experience preferred.)
- Have the highest proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
