Financial Controller

- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day accounting and financial management for a growing excavation company
- Provide financial guidance to the executive team, ensuring that financial strategies and plans align with the company's goals and objectives
- Complete general accounting administrative tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and financial reporting
- Process weekly payroll, ensuring all employee demographic information, pay rates, and hours are correct and that the proper deductions and taxes are withheld
- Manage 401K administration and transmit contributions, withdrawals, and other transactions to 3rd part administrator.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and cash flow forecasts, ensuring the company can adequately meet any future financial obligations and business needs
- Serve as the main point of contact and collaborate with our outside accounting firm

Musser's Excavating, a privately owned, full-service excavation and site work contractor in Lititz, PA, provides excavating and demolition services to a wide range of construction customers, including commercial, agricultural, and residential. Our focus on a diverse group of customers allows us to pivot and adapt to changes in market trends, keeping our business growing.
We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team and help us grow into the new phase of our business. This position will work with Musser's Excavating and our affiliate, Heavy Haul Trucking. Our Ideal Financial Controller:
- Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience. Experience in the construction/excavation industry is a plus.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field is preferred
- Knowledgeable: A thorough knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques.
- Computer Savvy: Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with HCCS Construction Software is a plus.
- Great Communicator: We value clear communication on our team. You will collaborate with multiple parties to ensure our company's continued financial growth and stability.
- Organized: Highly organized with strong attention to detail & time management skills. A commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting & compliance.
- Adaptable: Work independently and adapt quickly to change while maintaining professionalism throughout efforts to improve and streamline processes.
- Team Player: Someone humble enough to admit mistakes and driven to do excellent work with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
What we Offer Our Financial Controller:
- Competitive Pay: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
