Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all company accounts and investments, ensuring all financial operations are in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, budgets, budget-to-actuals, and financial projections.
- Manage all aspects of the financial reporting process, including the preparation and filing of reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), such as 10-Q and 10-K forms.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), identify and address discrepancies, if any.
- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities, including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
- Monitor and manage company's fixed assets.
- Coordinate year-end close processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the Engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience with financial reporting to the SEC, including 10-Q and 10-K filings.
- Solid experience in auditing and establishing internal controls.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
