Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting or finance and be able to perform various clerical and administrative duties related to accounting processes. The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting department by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, managing accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounting matters.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining financial records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
